123 Reg nameservers

These are the values you would set at your registrar to let 123 Reg run your DNS. Always confirm them in your own account — several providers assign per-account values.

  • ns.123-reg.co.uk
  • ns2.123-reg.co.uk

Gotchas at 123 Reg

  • 123 Reg keeps separate screens for web forwarding, email and DNS — a forward can override an A record.
  • Changes are typically live within an hour but the panel warns about 24 hours.

After you save

DNS changes are not instant. Resolvers keep the old answer until the previous record's TTL expires, so a record with a 4-hour TTL can take 4 hours to change everywhere — occasionally longer if an ISP ignores TTLs. Check what the world currently sees before assuming something is broken, and see the troubleshooting page if it still looks wrong after the TTL has passed.
