Change DNS records at Hostinger

Budget host with its own control panel, hPanel.

Open Hostinger DNSVisit Hostinger

Where the DNS settings live

  1. Sign in to hPanel and open Domains.
  2. Click Manage on the domain, then open DNS / Nameservers.

Adding a record

  1. Under DNS records, choose the record type tab.
  2. Fill in Name (@ for the root), Points to, and TTL.
  3. Click Add Record.

Editing or deleting a record

  1. Find the record in the list below and click the three-dot menu → Edit.
  2. Save, or use Delete from the same menu.

Changing the nameservers

  1. On the same page open the Nameservers section.
  2. Choose Change nameservers, select Use custom nameservers, and enter them.

Gotchas at Hostinger

  • Hostinger has a Reset DNS records button that wipes custom records back to defaults — easy to click by accident.
  • Domains parked on dns-parking.com nameservers still resolve to a placeholder page.

After you save

DNS changes aren't instant. Resolvers keep the old answer until the previous record's TTL expires, so a record with a 4-hour TTL can take 4 hours to change everywhere. Use the Route Planner's live check to see what the world sees, and the troubleshooting page if it still looks wrong after the TTL has passed.
