Change DNS records at Name.com

Where the DNS settings live

1. Sign in and open My Domains.
2. Click the domain, then DNS Records in the left menu.

Adding a record

1. Scroll to Add Record.
2. Set the type, enter the host (blank for the root) and the answer, set the TTL.
3. Click Add Record.

Editing or deleting a record

1. Click the pencil on the row, change it, and save. The bin icon deletes.

Changing the nameservers

1. Open the domain and click Nameservers, then enter your own and save.

After you save

DNS changes aren't instant. Resolvers keep the old answer until the previous record's TTL expires, so a record with a 4-hour TTL can take 4 hours to change everywhere. Use the Route Planner's live check to see what the world sees, and the troubleshooting page if it still looks wrong after the TTL has passed.
